Kara shuddered with excitement and anticipation as Marks' lips met hers. She had never felt such an intense feeling of desire in all her life as their bodies became entwined on the dance floor.

"Shall we go somewhere quieter, babe?" suggested Mark. Kara nodded and they quietly walked out of the club, leaving the atmosphere, music and dancing in the distance, and made their way outside into the garden area where they to continued to kiss.

Meanwhile, inside the club, Rosy's mobile phone was constantly ringing, although it took a while for her to hear it amongst the strains of shouting and sounds of the music playing.

"Rosy, is that your phone?" asked Marilyn. Rosy took the call.

"It's Bob. He wants to know if he can collect me earlier so we can measure the dining room for the new carpet that we're buying".

"Can't he wait an hour or so and let you enjoy a night out with your pals for goodness sake? It's not as though we meet much anymore, and I've seen two more men who fancy me to tell you about yet," Marilyn replied with annoyance.

All of a sudden, concern began to spread across Vicky's face.

"I can't find Kara ANYWHERE. I'm really worried".

"She might be outside getting some air, perhaps. Have you looked?" inquired Marilyn.

"Good idea! I'll check," replied Vicky sounding a little relieved.

Outside, Kara and Mark were rolling on the grass, oblivious to the world around them.

"How could you do this to me?" Vicky screamed, having just discovered and reacted to Kara making out with her latest boyfriend.

Vicky turned and hurried away, leaving the scene, the nightlife and her friends behind her. As she did so, her personal diary dropped from her bag and landed with a clatter onto the garden path.

Kara felt really bad at what had just happened with Mark, and wasn't sure how to handle the situation with Vicky as well as she seemed to be able to handle Mark!! Kara pondered over the idea that she could go after Vicky and try and calm her down, but it was probably too late to save their friendship now. Kara picked up the diary and figured the least she could do for Vicky now was to ensure that her diary was safely given back to her, so her private thoughts may remain exactly that.

Kara bent down to pick up the diary. Her eyes scoured the cover as she held it, and she wondered if she'd dare have a look since Vicky would never forgive her for her romantic embrace with Mark, anyway ...
